On November 20, 2024, AWJAI in collaboration with the Administration of Criminal Justice Monitoring Committee (ACJMC), Hope Behind Bars Africa, and Citizen’s Gavel, visited the Nyanya Divisional Police Station, FCT Command. The visit, led by His Lordship Haruna A. Haruna of the Karu Magistrate Court, highlighted a shared commitment to justice, human rights, and community welfare.
A key moment of the visit was the donation of essential sanitary items like Detergents, Izal and Toilet Rolls by AWJAI and Hope Behind Bars Africa, addressing issues identified in a previous inspection. This initiative, aimed at promoting a clean and healthy work environment, seeks to improve the well-being of police personnel and create a more humane environment within the justice system.
