Nigerian Police Constable Recruitment 2026: PSC Releases Screening Schedule
The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, has scheduled the physical and credential screening for applicants in the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 constables into the Nigerian Police.
The PSC announced that all candidates who successfully completed the online recruitment registration exercise will undergo physical and credential screening from 9 March 2026 to 18 April 2026 across the federation.
The Commission directed applicants to log in to the official recruitment portal (npfapplication.psc.gov.ng) to check their application status and print the required documents. Candidates must present these documents at their designated screening venue on the date and time stated on their Invitation Slip.
Applicants must print and present the following documents:
- Guarantors Form
- Application Submission Slip
- Invitation Slip
- Credentials Screening Form
- Physical Screening Form
At the screening venue, candidates must present:
- Invitation Slip (with assigned table);
- Credential Screening Form;
- Original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or NIMC-issued card;
- O’ Level (GCE/SSCE) Certificate;
- Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age;
- LGA/State of Origin Certificate;
- Trade Test/Certificate (for specialists only);
- Duly completed and signed Guarantors Form with photocopies and passport photographs of referees attached;
- Original and duplicate copies of credentials neatly packaged in two separate white flat files with recent passport photographs attached.
The PSC and the Nigerian Police further instructed applicants to appear at their respective screening centres wearing white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts and white stockings.
The screening will take place at designated venues in each State and the Federal Capital Territory, as indicated on the candidates’ printed invitation slips.
The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), mni, reaffirmed that the Nigerian Police recruitment exercise is free of charge and involves no financial obligation. He assured applicants that the PSC and the Nigerian Police will conduct the process with transparency and accountability.
He also warned candidates to beware of impostors, scammers, and other criminal elements seeking to exploit the Nigerian Police recruitment process. He emphasized that authorities will arrest and prosecute anyone found attempting to defraud applicants.
