In June 2024, AWJAI’s founder received troubling news: a lawyer who had orchestrated her unlawful eviction in March 2022, was now campaigning to become the chairman of a Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) branch in Abuja. Recognizing the seriousness of his misconduct, she took decisive action, writing to the NBA President. Thanks to her bold stance, this candidate was ultimately disqualified, preventing him from assuming a position of leadership.
