Sometimes, all it takes to change a life is the right support at the right time. Mr. S’s story shows why access to justice matters.

Going through a difficult period, Mr. S made a mistake that put him on the wrong side of the law. Charged with petty theft, he suddenly faced an uncertain future.  Like many in his situation, he had no lawyer, no guidance and no one explain what would happen next. Without help, he risked remaining stuck in a system he did not fully understand.
