AIG Fayoade Warns Officers Against Unlawful Detention and Civil Case Interference

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in-charge of Zone 2 Command, AIG Adegoke Fayoade has warned his officers and men against unnecessary/prolong detention of suspects.

Fayoade gave the warning during his monthly lectures of officers and men in his command headquarters, Onikan Lagos.

He also warned them against delving into civil matters, which have attracted many complaints to his office.

This is contained in a statement made available by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Ayuba Umma.

The AIG commended the officers and men of the Command for their efforts and commitment in the fight against crime and criminality.

Fayoade pointed out the need for them to continued to maintain a high level of professionalism in the discharge of their statutory duties.

He stressed the need for accountability – as each will be accountable for their actions and inactions in the protection of the rights of citizens who they have been called to protect.

Fayoade also urged officers to be proactive and effective as they proceed in the service to humanity.

The AIG used the lecture to talked about officers eschewing all forms of corrupt practices.
